AFC (Adult Family Care) Coordinator

The Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport is currently seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Coordinator in our Adult Family Care (AFC) Program for several of its families in the Merrimack Valley region. The AFC Coordinator will work in partnership with the AFC Manager in the development, planning, and implementation of supports within the AFC program. This position requires a bachelor’s degree; any candidate without this degree will not be considered.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with the concept of self-determination and have a minimum of three years’ experience in case management serving developmentally disabled, elder, or other special needs populations. The AFC Coordinator must be action oriented and able to assist with crisis management, engage in conflict resolution, and must have excellent documentation and communication skills. This role is office based but will include frequent field work such as attending meetings, doing monthly home visits, and may include accompanying individuals and their staff to appointments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Two to five years of experience in the field required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Satisfactory background check and driving record.
  • Computer Skills including experience with Microsoft office is preferred.

Full Time Schedule: 40 hours per week

Compensation: $20 to $21 per hour
