Bilingual Support Supervisor

The Arc of Greater Haverhill- Newburyport is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1962 to advocate with and for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout the Merrimack Valley and seacoast communities.

 

The Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport is currently seeking a full-time (30 hours per week) Bilingual Support Supervisor to assist in the management and implementation of services, program record keeping, provision of clinical supports, and supervision of staff for the individuals and families supported by the Arc.

 

The Support Supervisor will assist with standard case management, participate in recruitment, track individuals’ budgets and assist with the oversight and training of field staff and Shared Living Providers. The Support Supervisor must be action oriented and able to assist with crisis management, engage in conflict resolution and must have excellent documentation and communication skills. The role is office based but will include some field work such as attending meetings, doing monthly home visits, and accompanying individuals and their staff to appointments, as needed.

 

The Bilingual Support Supervisor needs to be fluent in Spanish. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while also knowing when to seek supervision around complex clinical or case management issues. They must also be able to listen, motivate, and encourage individuals and must be able to shift gear from one task to another, as needed. Experience in the field is required and experience with mental health issues is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Three to five years of experience in the field required, experience with mental health issues is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Satisfactory background check and driving record.
  • Computer Skills including experience with Microsoft office is preferred.

 

Full Time Schedule: 30 hours per week

 

Compensation: $20 to $22 per hour
