Shared Living Home Provider

 Are you currently or have you ever been a caregiver, nursing professional, teacher, coach, scout leader or volunteer at your church? Are you a stay at home mom or dad? 

Or, do you just want to help others?

If so, you can make a difference in someone’s life every day by opening your home to a person with a developmental disability. In the spirit of the recently established Real Lives Law, The Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport is seeking Shared Living Home Providers to give individuals with disabilities the opportunity to live in real homes, with real families.

Earn a Tax-Exempt stipend between $2000 and $3500+ a month!!!

Here’s how it works:

 As a Shared Living Home Provider, you and your family will share your life and your home, providing both care and support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will partner with the individual being supported and assist with daily life activities including personal care (if needed), scheduling and organization, transportation, doctor visits and medications, and recreational activities. Shared Living situations can be in the home or provided in an in-law apartment, if appropriate.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Satisfactory background check and driving record.
