Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Family Care

The Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport is currently seeking a full-time RN in our Adult Family Care (AFC) program to oversee a caseload of individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities or frail elders in a family-based setting. This position is starting at 30 hours per week with potential for growth.

The RN responsibilities include conducting nursing assessments, developing and overseeing care plans, providing in-home trainings, and communicating with doctor’s offices. The RN will work in conjunction with the AFC Coordinators as part of a multidisciplinary team in order to provide supervision, training, and case management via home visits.

Prior community based nursing experience is preferred. Excellent written and communication skills, current MA RN license, computer skills including experience with Microsoft office, and reliable transportation are required. Experience with MDS nursing assessment tool and bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Massachusetts RN License;
  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in the field of nursing required;
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
  • Satisfactory background check and driving record;
  • Computer Skills including experience with Microsoft office is required.

Full-Time Schedule: 30 hours per week. Hours are flexible, and this position may require some late afternoons or early evenings.

Compensation: $27 to 30 per hour.
