The Adult Family Care (AFC) program is an Arc program funded by MassHealth that pays family or non-family members a monthly tax free stipend to care for people in a home setting who are age 16 and older and who cannot live safely on their own.
Registered nurses and case managers offer ongoing education, advocacy, and healthcare oversight through monthly home visits, phone consultations and 24/7 on-call emergency support. The goal of the program is to keep people living in a home setting.
If you are interested in becoming an AFC Caregiver or know someone who could benefit from this program, contact: Heather Hess, Director of AFC, 978-373-0552 x222.
